Business growth and competitive wins strengthen CIP Constructions’ professional team.

Following sustained business growth and several competitive wins, CIP Constructions are thrilled to announce a raft of internal promotions and senior hires across Australia.

Notably, these changes include the addition of Daniel Santilli and Michelle Reynolds to the Executive Team as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Finance Officer respectively.

Promotions also include Cain Best as Head of New Business and Jim Connell to State Manager in Victoria, as well as contracts expert Wael Hanna to Head of Commercial and Contracts.

CIP Constructions have also welcomed a new Construction Manager in Queensland with the hire of George Riopelle, as well as the promotion of Karen Halliday to Head of HSEQ.

The well-deserved promotions come off the back of sustained business growth and commercial success, as well as a strong pipeline of work nationally. With over 20 projects nationally and several in the final stages of negotiation, we are confident that the team will be kept busy in their new roles.

Our team:

Daniel Santilli

Dan joined CIP Constructions in January 2007 and grew with the business having had experience in almost every position of that business.  With a very well-respected reputation with CIP Constructions’ client base, and being one of the most treasured senior leaders in our company, it was only natural that his next step would be to a more senior role, leading operations nationwide and managing multiple states, projects and corporate teams.  

Michelle Reynolds

Michelle, who has close to 20 years of experience in senior financial roles, will work closely with the senior leadership team, as well as our finance team across our Melbourne and Sydney offices. Michelle has previously held leadership roles with asset management and construction companies, and has significant finance experience, both in Australia and internationally.  Based in Sydney, we officially welcomed Michelle Reynolds as CFO and leader of CIP Constructions finance team, ensuring that everyone benefits from the expertise of the finance team, collaborating with the wider business to help lead problem solving and process initiatives.

Jim Connell

Jim, who has acted as 2IC in Melbourne for several years, transitioned to State Manager in all but name,  and has become responsible for over 35 Victorian staff and 5 active projects, as well as several in the final stages of negotiations.  Jim has significant project experience, both in Melbourne and nationally, and he brings his pragmatism and professionalism to the role. Victoria, which has traditionally been CIP Constructions largest state has recently secured several new projects, reinforcing the company’s goal of construction excellence.

Cain Best

Cain, who previously was Head of Estimating has been promoted to lead the new team, focussing on trade wins, new projects and negotiations.

Cain, who boasts both an aptitude for measuring and expert industry insights, will be responsible for managing our valued client’s journey from engagement to award, ensuring all leads can expect the same high standards of excellence, regardless of size, price or location.

Wael Hanna

Wael has led the Contracts Administrators at CIP Constructions for several years, responsible for over 20 CAs across Australia. His new role as Head of Commercial and Contracts. allows him to focus more on commercial wins, ensuring all projects remain on time and in budget and leading to better business outcomes.

George Riopelle

CIP Constructions are pleased to introduce George Riopelle as our new Construction Manager for our Queensland team. Working in conjunction with QLD State Manager Daniel Burley and Construction Manager for Site Operations, Mick O’Toole, George is responsible for project delivery, procurement and contract execution.

George will also work closely with the pre-construction and new business team to ensure all upcoming projects are delivered with the highest standards, including several currently under final stages of negotiation.

Karen Halliday

We are pleased to announce that Karen Halliday has been appointed Head of HSEQ. 

An expanded role to her held position of Head of HSE, Karen will also take on the added responsibility for Quality Assurance, Cybersecurity and our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) obligations.

Karen will continue to work with our HSE teams across the country ensuring safety as the highest priority on site.
