Coles required a new regional distribution centre in WA, which on completion would be in 24/7 operation. The facility included Ambient, chiller and freezer capabilities for the receival of bulk products & goods, as well as the storage, redistribution and sorting into smaller parcels for delivery to Coles stores and warehouses throughout South-Western WA.
Due to the size and complexity of the Project, the local market had difficulty in providing adequate trade resources and hence Eastern state trades were bought over to assist in the construction of this facility, which was also an economically viable option. The facticity include state of the art equipment with the latest in surveillance and in-built PLC, BMS and Scada systems for control and operation of the process equipment.
