The CIP Constructions Queensland team had an exciting start to the week with a SOD turning ceremony taking place to commemorate the new Asahi Wulkaraka facility.
This ceremony marks the commencement of construction on the new $23m project, which spans across 25,000㎡. Associated works will include;
• Relocate and install a PET blow-filling packaging line
• Provide process installation to support the relocated packaging line
• Provide all utilities and services to support the process and packaging operations
• Provide inwards goods receival of:
• Bulk raw materials
• Packaging materials including cartons, caps, lids, stretch-wrap, bottles
• Packaged raw materials including essences, juice, dry goods
• Provide raw material and finished goods storage
• Provide dispatch of finished goods
• Allow for future spring-water process and packaging operations
• Provide offices and amenities to support both operational and administrative function
Located in Wulkuraka QLD within an existing industrial area and due to be completed in July 2021, this project will also accommodate for the Bernie Street and Chalk Street road extensions. With the warehouse featuring some of the following areas: coolroom, ingredients store, syrup room, pasteuriser room, boiler room, HP and LP compressors.
CIP Queensland team members were joined on site by Justin Turner and Gary Christison from Asahi, as well as Duane Galloway from Building Solutions Brisbane on behalf of Ascot Capital.
This project marks the continuation of Ascot Capital and CIP’s relationship together, having previously worked on several projects together including GE, Reece and Kmart facilities.
