CIP Constructions is pleased to announce another win for our Queensland team, with our long time client and collaborator, Charter Hall Group. The project has been leased to Southcott, an Australian owned hydraulics manufacturer.
Southcott is an Australian owned business, founded over a hundred years ago in Adelaide, and has grown into a significant force in hydraulics, fluid connectors, electronic controls and engineering, providing customised solutions to diverse industries throughout Australia.
This 13,597m2 site will include a 4,635 m2 warehouse and workshop, as well as storage capacity and a 600m2 office. There will be additional support for Southcott trucks and vehicles, with 3,088m2 of heavy duty concrete and on-grade loading docks to ensure ease of access.
The facility is located in Darra, within Charter Hall’s Connectwest Industrial Park. The estate is in close proximity to the Ipswich Motorway and Centenary Highway, providing a prime location for Southcott.
Additional features of this build include:
- 10Ton Overhead Gantry crane with a 22 metre span to workshop
- 1,375m2 column free workshop with associated amenities
- Building to be built to a 5 Star Green Star Design and As-Built rating in accordance with the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA)
- 100Kw Solar panel system
CIP’s Construction Manager John Keane states “It’s great to be back at Connectwest Industrial Park and working with Charter Hall, a long time client of CIP. We are keen to get mobilising on site and look forward to delivering another quality build in Darra.”
